He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Garner and Hallie Garner; and his siblings, Argus Garner, Thurman Lee "Dub" Garner and Ena Fae Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Evans Garner; his children, Kelley Hayes (Kevin) of Cabot and Alan Garner (Penny) of Austin, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Katelyn Saeler (DaKota) of Conway, Kolbe Garner (Anna) of England, Kaleb Garner (Hannah) of Austin and Kyler Hayes of Sherwood, Arkansas; and his great grandchildren, Raeleigh Ann Saeler and Merritt Alyn Garner.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (1504 N J P Wright Loop Rd, Jacksonville, AR 72076). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at the Rest Hills Memorial Park (1504 N J P Wright Loop Rd, Jacksonville, AR 72076).
