He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie Howard Hickingbotham and Rae Curtis Hickingbotham; and his siblings, Ray C. Hickingbotham Jr., Gene Hickingbotham, Maxine Hickingbotham, Maurine Hickingbotham Mazzanti and Elizabeth Ann Hickingbotham.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Hickingbotham; his son Barry Hickingbotham (Lisa) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Haley Hickingbotham of Farmington, Brandon Hickingbotham (Jackie) of Greenwood and Molly Hickingbotham of Jacksonville; his great grandchild Lona; his brother Frank Hickingbotham (Georgia) of Little Rock; and his nieces and nephews, Herren Hickingbotham of Little Rock, Todd Hickingbotham of Little Rock, Ray Hickingbotham of Dallas, Candy Montgomery of Jacksonville and Bridget Montgomery of Jacksonville.
