It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Jean Bruns of Jacksonville, Arkansas, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alf Gatlin and Nealy Joe Alma Gatlin (Beck); her husband Milton E. Bruns; her siblings, Wayne, Sonny and Marvell Gatlin; and her son-in-law Larry Jordan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Steele (David) of Benton, Dolly Jordan of Jacksonville and Judy Walton (Lyle) of Conway; her sister Janet Lamb of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, James Allen Steele (Gina), Jamie Leigh Fenton (Brian Gartrell), Lauren Cleary, Carl Joseph Cleary, Paul H. Carter Jr. (Katie), Joseph Williams (Kim), Jeana Van Belle (Cody), Steven Sauls (Amanda) and Sarah Sauls; her great grandchildren, Samuel Steele, Danielle Steele, Zachary Fenton, Hannah Gartrell, Henry Gartrell, Joseph Lattin, Zachariah Cleary, Darla Carter, Charlie Wayne Carter, Logan Williams, Breanna Williams, Joshua Williams, Riley Van Belle, Maya Van Belle, Destiny Sutton (Canaan), Erin Lee Sauls, Lilly Sauls, Stevie Sauls, Stetson Sauls and Skyler Sauls; and her great great grandchildren, Oakley Millinger, Zola Millins, Derek Boal and Daxon Boal.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (1504 N J P Wright Loop Rd, Jacksonville, AR 72076). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120).
