She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Shadrick and Lorene Shadrick; and her brother Danny. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth; her siblings, Fern and Jon; her sons, Rodney (Laura), Jon (Chris) and Hal (Cherith); and her grandchildren, Jake, Brandon, Zachary, Serena, Ethan, Peter, Elisa, Jed, Moriah and Eben.
Carlene began working at Bob Jones University in the Donations department and served there almost 25 years until retiring in 2002.
