John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his father Glenn Gabriel; and his siblings, Ricky, Steve Gabriel, Angie and Sandy Gabriel.
He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Gabriel of Jacksonville, AR; his children, Michael Gabriel (Shauna) of Hartford, WI and Reese Gabriel of Greenville, SC; and his siblings, Greg Gabriel of Benton, AR, Bill Hobson of White Hall, AR and JoAnn Butler of McRae, AR. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the State Funeral Service (2620 W Main St, Jacksonville, AR 72076). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
