He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Edward Mathis of Gravel Ridge, AR and Lula Viola Mathis-Abbott of Gravel Ridge, AR; and his half-siblings, Lucille McGill of Gravel Ridge, AR and Cecil Mathis of Dallas, TX.. He is survived by: his daughter Penny Mathis (Billy Reeder) of Sherwood, AR.; his wife Gloria Mathis-Cooper of Manly, IA; and his pets, Puck, Faith and GeorGie.
