He was predeceased by: his parents, William Comer and Lessie Comer. He is survived by: his wife Sallie Elizabeth "Beth" Comer; his children, Barbara Ann Comer of Jacksonville, Robert Wayne Comer of Jacksonville and Elizabeth Jean "Jeanie" Hawkins of Boone; and his half-sister Shirley Lea Raynor of Tuscan, Arizona. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
