She was predeceased by: her parents, Aurora Darsney and George Darsney; her husband William Carter (Bill); her daughter Sandra Gilliland; her sons-in-law, Will Witkop, Kyle Gilliland, Calvin Burgess and Larry Onyskow; and her brothers, Warren, Raymond and George Darsney.
She is survived by: her sister Patricia Steere; and her children, Roberta Bowen, Patti Witkop, William Carter, Jr., Cynthia Burgess and Michael Carter. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (1504 N J P Wright Loop Rd, Jacksonville, AR 72076). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St Jude's the Apostle Catholic Church (2403 McArthur Dr, Jacksonville, AR 72076). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120).
