He was predeceased by: his father Robert William; his niece Janie Barnhart; his siblings, Edna, Nettie, Robert, Earl, Henry, John, Harry and Howard; his foster parents, Raymond Jewell and Isabelle "Mom Jewell" Jewell (Prentice); his pet Trixie; Nicholas Lee.
He is survived by: his niece Peggy Grizzle of Cabot; his girlfriend Glenda Koser of Jacksonville; his siblings, Charles Higley of Connecticut and Ruthie Higley-Pogslitsch of Connecticut; his great-nieces, Kimberly Mitchell (Jeff) of Jacksonville, Tami Skiver (Clint) of Beebe and Kristi Moreno (Adam) of Cabot; his great-nephew Jason Cravens (Tammy) of Georgia; Amanda Lee, Justyn Cravens, Jonathan Cravens, Tyler Moreno and Cooper Skiver.
