He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorene Ashe and Jesse Ashe; his brothers, Jimmy, Reginald and Claude Ashe; his daughter Debbie Thomas; and his grandmother Evelyn Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Palestine Ashe; his children, Donna Davis-Meyers, Yvette Ervin and William Ashe II; and his sisters, Phyllis Coulter and Carolyn Brown. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
