He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Henry Carter and Arple Mae Carter (Reddell); and his siblings, Julice Fred Carter, Charles William Carter, Travis Vernon Carter, Henry Hancel Carter and Charlotta Mae Carter Campbell.

He is survived by : his wife Rhonda Lea Carter; his daughter Alexis Jamilee Carter of Denver, CO; his sister Ava Louella Carter of Harrison; his siblings-in-law, Betty Carter of Jasper, Robert Lee, Ace and Hensley of Marshall; his sons, Lorne Campbell, Warren Campbell, Mike Carter and Richard Carter; and his godson Robbie Flud. He is also survived by nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and many dear friends.
