He is survived by: his wife Kathy Becker Unruh; his son Justin Unruh (Leigh Taylor); his grandsons, Evan and Myles; his daughter Stephanie Johnston (Corey); his granddaughters, Hazel and Isabelle; and his siblings, Mark, Brian Unruh and Debbie Cooper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, former students, neighbors, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper (410 Court St, Jasper, AR 72641). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Newton County Baptist Church.
