With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lonnie Gene Bateman of Jerusalem, Arkansas, who passed away on June 6, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Oscar Bateman and Bessie Orlena Dickey Bateman; and his siblings, Frances Lorton, Billie Gleich, Mary Scroggins, Lee Roy Bateman and Raymond Bateman.
He is survived by: his wife Virgina Aleda Mills Bateman of Jerusalem; his children, Barry Bateman (Mallika) of Knoxville, Arkansas and Corinne Keeton (Matt) of Jerusalem; his grandchildren, Jessie Keeton (Alyssia), Makenna Keeton (Casey Jones), Shelby Bateman and Shannon Bateman; and his siblings, Mae Flowers (Robert), Shirley Morin, Henry Bateman (Pam) and Tommy Bateman (Gail).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Homes - Morrilton (1325 N Oak St, Morrilton, AR 72110). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Creek Church of Christ.
