He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Calvin Horton and Ethel Evelyn Stafford; his wife Betty Horton; his sons, John Horton and Pete Horton; his siblings, Junior, Alton, Harold, Bill, Calvin, Franklin, Vernon Horton, Ruby Bounds, Eveline Dugard, Bernice Horton and Mary Horton; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Smith and Wyatt Murphy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Betterton of Osceola, Jamie Ferrel of Osceola, Ethel McIlvain (Billy Dean) of Williford, Shirley Hallett (Ron) of Keiser and Bettie Horton (Daniel Hamm) of Joiner; his brother Daniel Horton of Baldwin; and his son-in-law Ricky Kopp of Osceola. He is also survived by one daughter-in law, April Horton, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grand children and seven great great grandchildren.
