Adrian Hancock Obituary

Adrian Hancock, 55, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, went to sleep in death in the early hours of Thursday, November 21st, 2024. He was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, on August 27, 1969, to John G. and Merilyn (Heinige) Hancock, attended school in Paragould, Arkansas, symbolized his dedication to Jehovah, his Heavenly Father, on November 28, 1987, and remained faithful until his death. On March 16, 1991, he married his lifelong companion, Alesia (Lisa) Woodard, and welcomed their only child, John Tyler, in 1993. Adrian was employed by the City of Jonesboro for approximately 30 years, and was working for Windmill Rice at the time of death.

Along with his wife of 33 years, Adrian is survived by his son, John Tyler Hancock (Kristin); father, John G. Hancock; siblings Sabrina Himschoot (Todd); Sonja Pepper (David); Sacha Wilson (Robert); Tabitha Lomax (Nathan); and Heather Buckholtz (Scott); nieces Shelby Stein (Greg), Miranda Duke (Cody), and Phoebe Pepper; nephew Brinden Seth Lomax, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a vast number of friends.

He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, his mother, Merilyn Hancock, and a nephew, Anthony Pepper.

As a very creative person, Adrian enjoyed many hobbies, including blacksmithing, fishing, working with his hands and cooking for his family. His love of nature and animals led him on many adventures throughout his life, some of which included family and friends. He was a protective person when it came to his sisters and other family members, and he loved joining in the fun at any gathering. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him!

A memorial service for Adrian will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 5618 Summer Place, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Zoom information for this event will be shared by the family upon request.
