She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas and Ruthie Merritt; her husband Roy Marshall; her daughter Tamela Harris; and her sister Patricia Newsom.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Harris of Trumann, AR, Rashaud Marshall of Clarksville, TN and Lashonda Hughes of Jonesboro, AR; and her siblings, Julius Merritt of Osceola, AR, Danny Merrit of Kennett, MO, Michael Merritt of Joiner, AR and Myra Kimbrough of Blytheville, AR. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home- Osceola (1323 W Keiser Ave, Osceola, AR 72370). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the New St. John M. B. Church (308 N Main St, Jonesboro, AR 72404).
