She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Allen and Margaret Iceal Bedwell Shannon; her husband Virgil Eugene Atkins; and her brother Gary Dewayne Shannon. She is survived by: her son Jason Atkins; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Shannon of Glenco and Glenn Atkins (Betty) of Jacksonville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
