With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice Tate of Jonesboro, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Jones and Ruth Jones; her husband Austin Tate; and her siblings, Naomi Smith and Ray Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Rick Tate (Stacy) of Jonesboro, Mayor Cameron Tate (Lana) of Lake City and Cathy Robins (Dennis) of Collierville, TN; her grandchildren, Amanda Poe (Brad), Christian Emerson (Adam), Dr. Brandon Doty, Hannah Brosmore (Cody), Chandler Tate (Hannah) and Camden Tate; her great grandchildren, Estella, Sterling, Adler, Jocelyn, Raegan, Tucker, Aubrey and Cache; and her sisters, Phyllis Saffell and Sue Fetters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home (1900 W Washington Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
