We are sad to announce that, on June 5, 2022, at the age of 90, Betty Jean Howerton of Jonesboro, Arkansas, born in Blytheville, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Mack Howerton; and her siblings, Sam Smith, Willie Norton and Jan Fain. She is survived by: her son Darryl; her daughter-in-law Judy Howerton; her daughter Karon of Jonesboro; her son-in-law Brad Fields of Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Courtney Howerton, Aaron Howerton (Angie), Dan Fields Andrew Fields (Caylee), Rachel Fields Hilliard (Bradley) and Hannah Fields; and her great grandchildren, John Howerton, Christy Howerton, Eden Howerton, Joey Howerton, Oliver Howerton, Katelyn Howerton, Andi Fields and Wade Hilliard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1910 Scenic Dr., Jonesboro, AR 72401.
