Brenda Ward Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Ward of Jonesboro, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Hulan; her son Jeremy Book; and her grandparents, H. E., Lucinda Wall, Olan and Mildred Adams.
She is survived by: her daughter Amber Book of Jonesboro; her stepchildren, Tracey Gates of Hoxie and Scotty Ward of Hoxie; her siblings, Sharon Hopkins of Brookland, Hillrey Adams (Susan) of Mountain Home and Randy "Bernie" Adams (Linda) of Brookland; her grandchildren, Tarah Henderson of Bono, Michael Book (Shea) of Brookland, Matthew Book (Sara) of Paragould and Avery Genheimer of Obetz, Ohio; and her great grandchildren, Braxten Baker, Remington Book and Kylie Jackson.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Emerson Memorial Chapel (1629 E Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Brenda was the first ambassador from Arkansas for the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's.
