Carol Dowdy Obituary

Carol "Becky" Dowdy, 58, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on December 13, 2024 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born on October 7, 1966 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to William Edgar and Lois (Medlock) Dowdy. Becky was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She enjoyed going to gospel concerts, baking pies, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include; mother: Lois (Medlock) Dowdy of the home; three sisters: Brenda Lewis of the home, Tena Moon of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Rhonda Cowan (Paul) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; five brothers: Willliam Dowdy (Kem) of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Wade Dowdy (Melody) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Bryan Dowdy (Karrie) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jonathan Dowdy (Latisha) of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Emmanuel Dowdy (Maegan) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by; her father: William Edgar Dowdy; two sisters: Misty Dowdy and Angel Dowdy; one great niece: Aleah Cowan; and one great nephew: Jessie Moon.

Pallbearers: Nathan Robinson, Charlie Cummins, Larry Medlock, J.J. Dowdy, Jonavon Dowdy, and Allen Achterberg.

Honorary pallbearers: Becky's nephews and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Pastor Brad Robinson officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
