He is survived by: his wife Julie Matthews; his sons, Daniel Matthews (Audra) of Walnut Ridge and Houston Matthews (Cesalee) of Paragould; his siblings, Danny Matthews of Bethesda, Arkansas, Tommy Matthews (Sarah) of Nashville, Tennessee, Todd Matthews of Walnut Ridge and Pana Matthews of Mountain Home; and his grandchildren, Haley, Zoey, Ryker and Rhett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
