It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Parton Sr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas, who passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe B. Parton and Ferra Dale Parton; his siblings, Francis, Orville, Harley, Don, Mary Monday and Dorothy Eskew; his nephew Jared Turner; the mother of his children Hope Spragins; his parents-in-law, Cecil and Idell Turner; his brother-in-law Richard Buchanan; Kelly Marie Purtee.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Parton; his son Clint Parton (Patti) of Jonesboro; his granddaughters, Laura Clayton (Chad) of Frisco, Texas, Rachel Colananni (Mick) of Springdale, Arkansas and Mallory Shelton (Drew) of Jonesboro; his nephews, Brian Buchanan (Laura) of Cabot, Greg Buchanan (Kelly) of Collierville, Tennessee, Mathew Hood (Jordan) of Benton, Brandon Hood of Kissimmee, Florida and Chris Turner of Perry; and his brother-in-law Randy Turner Harrell (Liz). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
