She was predeceased by : her parents, Melvin Clairday and Emelean Fortson; her husband Larry Veal; her brother Jessie Clairday; and her granddaughters, Hailey Nikole Cox and Mercedes Larkins.

She is survived by : her children, Steven Cox of Jonesboro, T. J, Miller of Jonesboro, Cody Cox of Jonesboro, Chrystal Cox of Jonesboro and Brittny Cox of Jonesboro; her siblings, Terry Carr of Jonesboro and Connie Hensley of Trumann; her grandchildren, Austin Coburn, Quenton Miller, Alli Cox, Steven Mark Cox Jr., Ryker Steven Lee Rice, Kenlee Rice, Grace Jones, Aubree Cox, Brennan Cox and Chloe Cox; and her great grandchildren, Ryland Coburn of Jonesboro and Baylor Coburn of Jonesboro.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Emerson Funeral Home (1629 E Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401).
