With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred Edwards Sr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Edwards (Eva) and Calvin Edwards (Alfred); his siblings, Ella Mae Wilson (Erby), William Edwards (Virginia), Effie Owens (Everette) and Byron Edwards (Helen); and his grandson Brandon Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Edwards; his children, Clayton Edwards (JoAn), Fred Edwards Jr. (Faye) and Sherry Bennett (John); his grandchildren, Vivi Edwards, Samantha Drew (Matt), Jon Hawkins (Sarah), Justin Hawkins (Raquel), Shannon Bennett, Ryan Edwards, Chase Edwards (Melinda), Jeremy Sexton (Tina) and Jessica Sexton Lewis; and his sister Glenda Nelson (Robert). He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
