He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Rainey Sr. and Vivian Rainey; his wife Jeanette "Jan" Rainey; and his sister Martha Fye. He is survived by: his children, Steve Rainey (Leah) of Kent, Ohio and Paula Browning of Jonesboro; and his grandchildren, David Browning, Laura Hennings, Scott Rainey, John Browning and Lyndon Rainey. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren as well as one niece and one nephew.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery (1309 W Main St, Walnut Ridge, AR 72476).
