Herberta Lynne Hartness Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2025, at the age of 78, Herberta Lynne Hartness of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Waddell and Thelma Waddell; and her sisters, Donna Buchanan, Judy Warnick and Peggy Waddell.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Hartness Sr.; her children, Richard Hartness Jr. (Brooksie) of Paragould, Jennifer Hartness McGee of Wynne and Melinda Hartness of Wynne; her sister Pam Fletcher (Micheal) of Jonesboro; and her grandchildren, Jordyn Smith, Aaron Winford, Noah Winford, Adam Hartness, Nathan Hartness, Whitney Dwyer, Ross Felty, Maggie Williams, Coy Davenport, Ryan Hartness and Layne McGee. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Prospect Missionary Baptist Church (1603 AR-351, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked to please consider donations to Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
