It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida Dacus of Jonesboro, Arkansas, who passed away on April 22, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Smith and Edna Holmes Smith of Jonesboro; and her brother Frank Smith. She is survived by: her husband Bill Dacus; her children, Chris Dacus (Kristin) of Jonesboro, Frankie Dacus (Mary) of Jonesboro, Freda Brannen (Steve) of Jonesboro and Melinda Stafeil (Walt) of Germantown, Tennessee; her sister Yulanda Bailey of Jonesboro; and her grandchildren, Ashley Dacus, Stephen Brannen, Brad Brannen, Andrea Dacus, Christine Meisenheimer, Lauren George, Megan Schnzel, Cooper Dacus, Madison Dacus, Laura Dacus, Lillie Barger, Jacqueline Doyle, Josiah Dacus, Elijah Dacus and Hattie Rose Dacus. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
