With sadness, we share the passing of Jerry Wilson Melton of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Jerry, born on July 8, 1944, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Jerry for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Jerry’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Brock Tyner; and his grandson-in-law Timothy Klimetz. He is survived by: his daughters, April Rasdon (Tony) of Jonesboro and Alice Taylor of Jonesboro; and his grandchildren, Hunter Rasdon, Jason Rasdon, Damon Davis, Savannah Perry, Courtney Moore and Chase Tyner. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a lifetime of friends; and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Emerson Funeral Home (1629 E Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery (3910 Harrisburg Rd, Jonesboro, AR 72404).
