He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert "Monk" Pickering and Nora Earlene Pickering; his daughter Christy Lynn Pickering; and his siblings, Wilma Wright, JoAnn Beason, Sue Neal, Harold D. Pickering, Emmett Pickering and Donald Pickering.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Pickering; his daughter Leslie Boone (Andy); his siblings, Jim Pickering, Kay Wimpy and Lynn Tubbs (Joe); his granddaughters, Olivia Brown (Roman), Caroline Woods (Phil) and Tessa Boone; and his great grandchildren, Fletcher Woods, Lofton Woods and Boone Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
