Joe Von Lesley Obituary

Joe Von Lesley lived in Jonesboro, Arkansas but started life on November 11, 1940 in Harrisburg, Arkansas. His life came to an end on August 23, 2022 at the age of 81, after a long battle with dementia. Joe Von was a remarkable man, he owned Lesley's Tile Company where he laid ceramic tile for 30 plus years, he was an owner operator and drove a truck over the road. He was the happiest getting to work at the shop and on his rental properties.

His passing leaves on; loving wife of 62 years: Jeanice Lesley of the home; one son: Johnny Lesley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one daughter: Ronda Smith; two grandchildren: Braden Gatling and Elicia Blake; two great grandchildren: Rorie Gatling and Rossie Gatling; one sister: Faye Chamblis of Mountain View, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by; his parents: Lovett and Nanny Deckleman Lesley; four brothers: James, Billy, Harold, and Vernon; and one sister: Sharon Blagg.

The family would like to give thanks to the nurses at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House for the care they gave Joe Von, and for arranging with the Disabled American Veterans the Presentation of a plaque and statue for the recognition of his military service. A special thanks to Jill for the loving care she gave to our loved one and the family, cousins Bill and Gail Knight for seeing that wife Jeanice has a way to the hospital and hospice house. Joe Von will be cremated by the loving and caring people at Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
