With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lou Ellen Dowdle of Jonesboro, Arkansas, who passed away on August 10, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hassell Poyner and Mary Poyner; her husband Ronald Dowdle; her son Gardner Boyd Dowdle; and her brother Billy Cole Poyner.
She is survived by: her son Lee Scott Dowdle of Belgrade, Montana; her siblings, Joe Poyner of Millington, Emma Tarkington of Jonesboro and Hal Poyner of Memphis, Tennessee; and her nephew Barry Poyner of Georgia. She is also survived by numerous brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
