He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Burns and Louis; his siblings, Lousie Gibbs and Willie Burns Jr.; and his grandchild Quention Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Burns (McCullough); and his children, Eugene Burns (Judy), Charles Burns, David Burns, Suzie Mason (Larry), Mary Smith (Robby) and Becky Simino (Scotty). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren.
