He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaston James and Audi James (Lawrence); and his son Glenn James. He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Erwin; his sister Oleta Woodward; his nephews, Jeff James and Gary Dawson; and his close friend Gloria Graham.
