Randy Bowers Obituary

Randall "Randy" Lane Bowers, 65, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on Friday, December 16, 1960, at St. Bernard's Hospital to Edward Lee Bowers Jr. and Linda Lou Clark. Randy spent most of his life in Bay and Jonesboro, where he built a life centered around family, community, and service.

Randy was a devoted member of Central Community Church. He dedicated many years of service to Bay Public Schools, retiring as Maintenance Director. Randy and his wife, Theresa, both found deep fulfillment in working within the school system, where the relationships they built with students and staff brought them lasting joy and cherished memories.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Bowers Jr. Randy is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Theresa Carol Bowers of the home; his daughter, Megan Bowers Anthony and husband Will of Little Rock; his son, Eric Randall Bowers and wife Charity of Benton; his three beloved grandchildren, William ("Liam") Henry Anthony IV (age 4), Margot Beatrice Anthony (18 months), and Elaina Alexandria Bowers (18 months); his mother, Linda Lou Clark; and his two sisters, Rhonda Quinn of Paragould and Donna Houston of Brookland.

Randy, known to many simply as "Papaw," had a deep love for the outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, and he treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. Whether he was sharing stories, making memories, or laughing alongside the love of his life, Theresa, Randy's presence brought warmth and joy to those around him.

A celebration of life will be held at Central Community Church on May 9th at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
