He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Croom and Lue Etta Croom (Sparks); and his grandson Courtland Stinson Carvell. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Lou Ann Wicker (Steve), Lana Kirkpatrick (Curtis), Sharon Davison (Dru), Rich Carvell Jr. (Tracey) and David Carvell (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Scott, Stephanie, Clay, Cole, Katie, Ella, Morgan and Meredith; and his great grandchildren, Jude, Eli, Declan, Hattie, Parker and Daisy.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Emerson Funeral Home (1629 E Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
