He is survived by: his wife Cyndy Sloan Shepherd; his stepchildren, Caroline Bednar and David Bednar; his daughter Cynthia Lee "Cindy" Shepherd; his grandsons, Joel Harrison Scott and Trey Jackson Scott (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Lillian Izabella "Izze" Scott, Rhys McGee Scott and Maximus "Max" Jackson Scott; his sister Melissa Shepherd Malone; his niece Claire Sterling Edwards (Timothy); his great-nephew Samuel Wade Edwards; and his cousin Rosemary Sullivant (David Plane). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
