She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Stephens and Vettrell Faulkner Stephens; her sisters, Elfreda Stephens Yates and Joan Stephens Hall; her husband Ross Elder; and her close friend James Gammill. She is also survived by niece, three nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
