Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Gillespie and Mary Gillespie; and her siblings, W. L. Gillespie and Sarah Riggs. She is survived by: her husband Maxie Hales Jr.; her sons, Steve Hales (Tammy) of Little Rock and Michael Hales of Jonesboro; her sister Martha Faught; her sister-in-law Myrna Gillespie; her grandchildren, Rees Hales (Lacie), Austin Hales (Kristen), Clayton Hales and Madison Taylor (Sean); and her great grandchildren, Nylie, Luke, Remi, Hazel Hales, Jackie and Asher Taylor.
