He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank G. Clay and Ruby Tacker Clay; his wife Regina Clay; and his siblings, Frankie Clay, Clayton Clay, James Clay, Ginny May and Susan Clay.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mitzi Malone (Paul) of Lepanto and Stephanie Lunsford (David) of Brookland; his sister Mary Dunlap (Eddie) of Queen Creek, Arizona; his grandchildren, Kent Gray (Elizabeth) of Memphis, Clay Malone (Hannah) of Jonesboro, Hayden Malone (Misty) of Trumann, James Davis (Madison) of Indianapolis, Jacob Lunsford (Morgan) of Fayetteville, Jenna Myers (Darryl) of Sheridan and Jordan Lunsford (Dylan) of Jonesboro; and his great grandchildren, Baylor Malone, Heidi Malone and Harper. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the NEA Humane Society or the Arkansas State Women's Basketball Association in Steve's memory.
