She was predeceased by: her parents, Lindel Taylor and Betty Taylor (Smith). She is survived by: her husband Dwain Prater; her sons, Seth, Jordan Prater and Cody Prater; her granddaughters, Charlotte and Georgie Prater; and her brother Tony (Sherry Taylor).

In lieu of flowers the family requests lasting memorials be made in Vickie's honor to either Christian Valley Christian Church or to Valley View Church of Christ.
