Virginia Shepherd Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Shepherd of Jonesboro, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, H. P. Maddox, Sr. and Addie Mae Scruggs Maddox; her husband Roger David Shepherd; and her siblings, Edward Stacey Maddox, Maurine Maddox Sullivant, Vivian Ruth Maddox and H. P. Maddox, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Roy Maddox Shepherd (Cyndy) and Melissa Shepherd Malone (Virginia Lee); her grandchildren, Cynthia Lee "Cindy" Shepherd, Claire Sterling Edwards (Timothy), Christopher David Shepherd (Mandie) and Courtney Stacy Shepherd; her great grandchildren, Joel Harrison Scott, Trey Jackson Scott (Samantha), Camden Elizabeth Shepherd and Samuel Wade Edwards; her great great grandchildren, Lillian Izabella "Izze" Scott, Rhys McGee Scott and Maximus "Max" Jackson Scott; and her close friend Kathryn French.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel (300 W Matthews Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home (300 W Matthews Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401).
