He was predeceased by : his parents, Olen Edward Smith and Dorothy Jean Smith; and his brothers, Harold Smith and Eddie Smith. He is survived by : his siblings, Gerald Smith of Sheridan, Danny Smith of Searcy, Arkansas and Diane Adcock of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
