She was predeceased by : her parents, Doyle Winningham and Syble Winningham; her husband Elmer Nelson; and her siblings, John Winningham, Larry Winningham and Sylvia Winningham.

She is survived by : her children, Tonia Bates, Rhonda Miller and Randall Bates. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, thirty plus great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
