He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alvin and Mary Lou McDuffie Laney; his wife Carolyn Bryant; and his siblings, Catherine Laney Couch, Yvonne Laney Wheelus (Bonnie), James Jr., Alex and Ben Laney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Hamaker (Don) of Junction City and Sandra Bryan (Eddie) of Junction City; his grandchildren, Justin Hamaker (Melissa) of Decatur, TX, Jana Frisby (Jed) of Junction City, Laney Bryan (Kristyn) of El Dorado and Miranda Bryan of Magnolia; his great grandchildren, Kyrstin, London, Mia Hamaker, Abigail, Emma Frisby, Addie, Ryder and Karson Bryan; his brother Marcus Laney (Mary) of Orlando, FL; and his cousin Julia Laney Machen of Magnolia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
