He was predeceased by: his parents, David Martin and Bitha Maye Barnes; his former wife Cricket; his son-in-law Douglas Jantzen; and his stepson Mark Welch.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Welch Barnes; his children, Sherry Jantzen and Marty Barnes (Susan); his stepson Rick Welch (Lisa); and his stepdaughter-in-law Rhonda Welch. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
