He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie Graves Lowery and William Arthur Lowery; his siblings, William Doyle Lowery, Harold Allen Lowery (Foxy), Voncille Reed and Wanda Sue Jolley; and his friend Gene Summers.

He is survived by: his siblings, Patsy Ruth Davis and Donny Rex Lowery (Karen).
