With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Turner of Kirby, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Walter Turner to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Leamon Jones Turner and Era Johnson Turner; his wife Imogene Golden; his half-brothers, Emmett, Troy (Tip), Roy and Veston Turner; and his siblings, Coy Lee Turner, Quilda Faye, Zelma Rie Simmons and Erma Dean Nielson.

He is survived by : his son Danny; his daughter-in-law Gwen Turner of Kirby; his daughter Sherry; his son-in-law Ronnie Whisenhunt of Kirby; his grandchildren, Jeremy Turner (Melissa), Valeri Parson (Tyler), Lucas Whisenhunt (Celeste), Lance Whisenhunt and Lee Whisenhunt; his great grandchildren, Carter Turner (Hagen), Kenyon Turner, Grace Turner, Liam Parson, Grady Parson and Lyza Whisenhunt; and his great great grandchildren, Miller and Ryker Turner. He is also survived by one sister-in-law from Kirby; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home - Glenwood (209 N 3rd St, Glenwood, AR 71943). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church (2563 AR-27, Amity, AR 71950). A burial was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at the Bear Creek Cemetery.
