He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard Chenowith and Margie Parham Chenowith; and his siblings, Rev. Kenneth Chenowith (Priscilla), Donald Chenowith, Betty Chenowith and Joyce DeWars.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Chenowith; his children, Thomas Lee Chenowith II (Jenny) of Lakeland, FL and Brenda Frisby (Aaron) of Little Rock; and his granddaughter Rebekah "Becky" Haggard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
