She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewitt Burns and Florence Burns (Robison); her significant other Claude Carpenter; her husbands, Donald Smith and Douglas Ross; her daughter Cindy Ross; and her grandson Richard "Ricky" Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Florence Skinner (Ronnie McGowan), Joelena Schmidt (Wayne Everly) and Rick Smith. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
